The Association was formed in 1991 to advance the development and use of photovoltaics (solar electricity), promoting the use of PV within the UK as well as other regions.
• British Wind Energy Association - The British Wind Energy Association is the trade and professional body for the UK wind industry. Formed over 25 years ago, BWEA's primary purpose is to promote the use of wind power in and around the UK, both onshore and offshore, as well as the emerging wave and tidal sectors.
• International Geothermal Association - The International Geothermal Association (IGA), based in Italy, was founded in 1988. It is a scientific, educational and cultural organization which aims to encourage research, development and utilisation of geothermal resources worldwide.
• Renewable Power Association - The Renewable Power Association was formed in 2001 to represent the renewable industry, particularly electricity generation, across all technologies.
• Scottish Renewables Forum - Scottish Renewables is Scotland's Forum for the renewable energy industry, supporting the development and provision of a sustainable energy future for Scotland.
